Need help with the X7's peep sight.
OK a question for the geometry wizzes.
I got out to the range with my Omega X7 for the first time today. I am planning on using the Williams peep sight that comes with the rifle.
Started out at just 25 yds to see what shoots well out of the rifle. I went through the TC Shockwaves that came with the Omega and then went to some Hornady .44 cal XTPs. My groups were decent, but I was dumping my shots consistently about 7 inches low.
My question is which way to I adjust the peep’s ramp to compensate, forward (up) or back (down) when shots are running low. My intuition is to raise the rear peep but I wanted to be sure.
I am aware that it is somewhat common with the X7 to need a new front blade, either taller or shorter.
BTW, shooting the X7 was a blast. My first smoke pole!
