Excuse me if I didn't use the correct names. Which do you use? First time bow owner, but I think I'm gonna go with mechanical broadheads. From researches, it shoots like field points whereas fixed broadheads need a bit of tuning
It's a misconception that you don't have to tune a bow for mechanical broadheads. A lot of the problems with poor penetration are caused by the arrow not flying properly, you not only have to hit where you're aiming but the arrow has to be flying straight or energy will be lost as the arrow attempts to straighten itself out upon impact. A lot of fixed blade heads fly like field points, I doubt that you'll find a broadhead, fixed or mechanical,that'll fly any better than a Slick Trick.
