If I had to pick just one of the mentioned ones, I would pick the 30-06.
Same here. The .338 Win Mag is overkill for anything other than big bears and maybe moose. i do have two .300 Win Mag guns. One is a Mathieu with a 28" barrel: It is a dandy long range coyote gun.
