Thank you for the complement. Building and shooting these rifles has brought me a great amount of pleasure for almost 40 years. I look at them as an art form that actually does something. I used Minwax stain and the color is jacobean. The top finiish is Minwax satin polyurthane, which gives it a hand rubed lindsead oil look but is actually more durable and waterproof.
