RE: ram 1500
I have also owned all 3 of the big name trucks. I currently have a 2009 Dodge Ram and a 2003 Ford F-I50.I pull about 4500lbs and they both perform greatif you don't mind the gas milleage hit. The 2009Dodge Ram is leaps and bounds better than previous models which I have owned 3 previous Rams.
Strictly for towing I would buy a 3/4 or 1 ton with a diesel as many have recommended.Which one is up to you. Look and drive for yourself to decide.I would avoid the V-10 at all costs unless you want to mortgage your house to pay for gas.
Off subject but I had to respond to a couple people who posted on this thread. For those that think the Big 3 are in a mess because of people not buying american wake up... It is so much deeper than that. I have been in the auto mfg business for going on 25 yearsand the issues are deep rooted.The writing has been on the wall for years.....
