Just my person experience here but I haul a 16 ft trailer everyday with a 2005 2500 5.7l hemi and this truck is a hunk of s--t!!! If you are going to haul buy a diesel or a dually.
I second this to an extent. I like our new Dodge Diesel 2500. The problem arises when a guy doesn't buy enough truck to do what he wants to do. When I bought my Chevy 1500 it was to hunt and field trial out of and I tried pulling a horse trailer with it and it is simply not designed for that. It was a nice truck but not for what I wanted.
If you are looking to haul something you will be extremely unhappy with a gas truck. I can tell you this from experience. The hemi is nice but will bet 8-9 miles a gallon hauling anything heavy. Gas trucks are for looking nice. Diesel trucks are for working. Trust me when I say this.
