For my part Spaniel, I am sorry that i might have offended you, but i can tell you also for my part I am honestly surprised, and without commecrcialism, by what i have seen from these bullets.

I did not think anything would move me off-center from the Nosler's that i think are even superior to any Barnes offerings and far better than anything that Hornady or Sierra has. And when i say that I am not talking about accuracy, but the abilty of these projectiles might have to harvest cleanly and quickly. It does not seem that long ago that I was writing the same thing and talking pretty much the same way about the Speer Gold Dot line as the price of Nosler's was traveling beyond my ability to pay. Even the Lehigh is at that point but i am still interested in it as it is new technology, but in the end I still may be shooting Gold Dots.

The only thing I can tell you about Lehigh's for sure is, until you shoot them and let your mind compute how much differently they fly than what you have been shooting or what you would expect them to fly like, I do not think you can just see the difference. You would never expect an open nosed hollow point to travel the way it does, but apparently Barnes recognized it several years ago when they first produced their own big open nosed hollow points. We hunters and shooters are the ones that decided that it was not right. And, maybe i am wrong also, maybe what i see happening is not happening - maybe I am not adjusting my scopes down, maybe I am not shooting 200 yards holding dead on. But right now they show a ton of promise.

The one thing and the big thing I do not know, is how they will work on game, I like you and others have seen the pictures but again those are only pictures. I have read the accounts of the most recent use and they really sound promising also, but those can be excited utterings. Another thing I have done is read accounts of the guys using the Lehigh offerings from 45-70's - they also seem pretty convinced. And then there is the guy that makes these things and shoots them from a 50BMG at big game from some ungodly ridiculas ranges, but he is the owner so you really have to be careful with what he says.

For my part, the only thing i can tell you for sure right now, they are new, well at least new to me, they shoot extremly well from the rifles that I have tried them in and I continue to be very interested in them.

This fall I really hope to be able to tell you a lot more about their performance on big game. I just really wish i could afford to pay money and go hunt someplace with them right now, but I will just have to wait.

If you do not mind I will still offer my opinions on these bullets as I shoot them. There will be be some new offerings from Lehigh coming out and I will probably try to shoot them and talk about them also.
You certainly did not offend me. My offense has absolutely nothing to do with the bullet and everything to do with the clear promotional aspect on a FREE forum we all enjoy that prohibits such practices. I respect your opinion and evaluation of the bullet, but someone who only joined the forum to talk about this bullet (and at least 2 other forumsfor that matter) is just an advertisement.

I am sure theyare good bullets and, as with most good bullets, I'm sure I'll give them a try eventually. The implication that they are in a league of their own off onlya handful of animals is quite a step abovewhat a non-biased hunterwould report in my book.
