They might depending on the time of year. Shelled corn or Soybeans would be much better. Wheat, Oats, Rye all of the small grains make better forage growing. For example 100lbs of Rye seed planted per acre, could yield 3 or 4 tons of forage per acre or more if every thing goes good.
