Tree climber has a good idea too...but you still need a tree to hold it up..I was under the impression that it had to be free standing.....So here is another idea..4 pieces of square tubing.. 2 pieces 2" X 2" and 2 pieces 1 1/2 X1 1/2 and 3 pieces 3/4 " round bar... the 1 1/2 will fit nicely into the 2" the round stock is for the steps... start wider at the bottom and a little smaller at the top... however upi will need a welder to weld 1 -6" X 6" plate to the bottom of each leg...you can now build your tree { free standing ladder stand } as high as you want...and not use any trees to suport it... Just an idea....
