Ok guys.. I have done ok so far but could be better.. My IL 3rd season I worked the same bird fo 3 days and on the last day it was a 3 hour dance when I got my shot.. For the first time I missed a bird, after the fact realized I had knocked off my sights. I bought a Mueller Quick Shot and put it on the gun, sighted in and headed to NE..

I hunted in NE this past week and the birds were just starting to gobble. The first morning of the hunt I shot the first Merriams at 10 yds. Within a couple hours I pulled off a double on 2 more birds at about 50 yds. Had a really good time my first time in NE.. Here is a picture.

Oh.. Bird one was 19.5 lbs with 9-1/2 in beard and 3/4 and 7/8 inch spurs (54.75)
Bird two was 18 lbs with 8 in beard and 5/8 inch spurs (46.5)
Bird three was 18.5 lbs with 8-1/4 in beard and 7/8 inch spurs (52.5)

So there ya have it. I do have an IL 5th season tag as well.. I am going to give IL another shot but still working on a bird for my wife as well in the 5th season.. She will come first then me if she gets one..
