I suspect as long as the cuts are even on both ends it wouldn't make tooo much of a difference. I'd just be careful not to cut ONLY from the nock end.

However, I'm kind of suspect as to just how much weight forward benefit these shafts really provide- anyone tested them against the standard Black Maxima apples to apples?
