All other things being equal and by that I mean the barrel length, chamber, bore finish, bore consistancy, rifling, crown, etc... the heavier barrel will be more accurate than a lighter weight barrel.
Same thing applies to a shorter barrel as it does a heavy barrel. A short barrel of equal diameter will be more accuratethan a longer barrel of equal diameter.
I have often heard that a shorter barrel(such as you described)is more accurate but why is this the case?
