I don' t know why it was re-called ,but Cabelas sent me a notice saying to discontinue usage and contact them about a pick up . It is a voluntary re-call but that' s enough info. for me to send mine back!
And with all the other negative' s with API right now , I' ll probably not get another one although Cabelas said that they can ship me a new one in mid September .
