Default RE: What should I do?

dont forget you will also have to pay that absolutley stupid gun registration fee at the border. get the forms and make several copies before you go! i will pass on canada for a while plenty to see and hunt in the good ole U.S.A.! i take offense that someone would even suggest that you are well off and not in need of any meat because you are going on a paid guided hunting trip . i scrimp and save to go on my trips and if it wasnt for tax return time i dont think i could ever afford to drop the cash for a trip. the guide is not being fair. did your guide even call or tell you at the time the meat ban came into effect? probably not. im sure it was only when you did some homework or heard about it that you found out! anyway the hunter always looses so go on the trip and have some fun with it. i would strongly consider not tipping the guy at the end of the hunt just to show the little guy has a power too. also request that he cook some of your meat in camp if you get lucky. elk is one of the best youll ever eat. good luck and just dont get worked up about it. you dont want to remember your hunt with all the sour grapes.
