Been kicking around the idea of getting a new rifle, the Remington Alaskan Ti caught my eye, buts its a little expensive for a factory rifle and nobody wants to trade one for my MRI/Sako .270.
.280 Ackley Improved
Remington stainless long action, lightened, trued, etc...
Broughton 5c #3 barrel, fluted of course.
McMillan or Manners hunter style stock.
Re-worked factory trigger.
Probably factory bottom metal also.
Then the whole thing either Cerakoted or Tefloned.
Would be a little more expensive then the Ti, but would pretty much guaranteed to be a shooter.
It will be strictly a hunting rifle, deer, elk, moose, black bear, sheep, and anything else I could ever hunt besides Grizz (the .375 H&H for that)...I would like to keep it under 8lbs scoped also...
Oh, and this is most likely a next year project.
