check cabelas website they have them with tons of reviews there are people who hate them and people who swear by them. I think the one on cabelas has a power supply for ac and a battery

I do not have one but they look like a good idea, especially for houses with children. My concern would be what happens if your fingerprint is lost due to the batteries going dead? Of course I'm assuming these safes use batteries!
What bothers me is, I work in locations where they have hand readers to get into the sites. And those things are always on the fritz. I sit there sometimes for 10 min trying to get a good read on my fingertips. And sometimes never do get in and have to call the main security, and go thru 50 questions and wait for a security officer to come.
