In these parts, we call that a Coone and Clampett buck- meaning 100 - 125... Those are the bucks that I always hate to see in the early season because if I whack one, my own rule is I don' t kill another buck that season. It' s a beautiful buck, so the temptation to take him would be great. But one more year and he will be a true monster.

He already made it through 2 hunting seasons, there is a pretty decent chance he' ll make it through another. At the very least, he would get those awesome genes in some does before rifle season as it' s unlikely there are many other bucks who could take him on.
