if they would take away my semi auto 30-06 remington 742, which has been in my family for almost 30 years, i sure bet they wouldnt replace it with one they felt was considered "safe enough" for me... a hunter who has taken the time to learn how to handle the firearm safely, and a law abiding citizen. Why should I have my gun taken away because some idiot went and shot up a bunch of people? I sure dont wanna give up my rilfe.
