Default New at Planting -Need help

We have about 40 acres in Southern NH and have never planted any food plots before so we are seeking some direction. I have read which and what things are good but our situation is a bit different. We don't have fields as of yet but what we have is about a mile +- of old logging roads which I have opened back up...I have a tractor with a York rake and wanted to rake those roads and plant different items on different pieces....Land is extremely fertile >>>it was and old farm at one point. Landwas also cleared about 20 years ago so it's thick as can be. I amalso starting to see grouse & woodcock...there is a stream and a wetland area that harbors a few moose during the winter.... so the deer are here already and this is just for fun...I hunt else where. What different types of food would you suggest on these roads...plots will only be about 6' wide but obviously long.
Thanks for the input!!!!!
