Exactly my point. Making ANY type of weapon illegal will not stop any amount of killing. It just keeps the law abiding citizens from being able to own those firearms. The criminals will still have them, but I won't be able to protect myself and my family and that was the intent of the 2nd amendment. To protect ourselves from violent threats, whether that threat be from a neighbor, a gang member, an escape prisoner, and even to defend ourselves from government that takes away our democracy. I have lost a family member in every declared war, Vietnam, and Korea that were defending my freedom to keep and bear arms along with many other rights. I am proud of my country because of these rights and I believe we need to fight to keep them.
