Just what type of .22 rimfire are you talking about here? I would not recommend a .22 LR, however if you happen to be talking about the .22 WMR the result will be bang/flop. Now i'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here i'm just stating that it will get the job done. I personally hunt with a shotgun because that is what i prefer to use, but if your looking for a tool to get the job done with virtually no recoil the .22 WMR will work nicely. Choose a heavy bullet (there are plenty to choose from), limit your shot range to that of a conventional shotgun, aim at the chest and let'er go! I'm confident you'll be pleased with the result.
