son why - that micro rifling or what ever they call it makes them accurate little suckers. People can blow money on 10/22 accessories and make them look tactical or what ever but at the end of the day, its a .22,
I have a 10/22 and really like it. I also recommended one to a buddy and he bought one when looking for a new .22 and really likes it. Mine is stock except for a Simmons scope and can shoot accurately enough for me. More accurate than I can usually shoot it. I can load up a high capacity magazine and I usually shoot at 35-50 yards and can get about a 1 1/2 group. However, the group is just a single hole that big. To me that's pretty decent especially being me shooting it.
You can customize them just about anyway you want and make them very very accurate. I bought plans with the intent to change the barrel at least and maybe a few other things however, it's impressed me and is as accurate as I want it to be so I never changed anything on it.
I will say mine stovepipes a lot with Federal bulk pack ammo. I've read some others do and some don't. It does pretty well with Winchester bulk pack ammo but still stove pipes some. Compared to a few other guns I've used that have never jammed on me it jams a lot however, for plinking it's no big deal to me. Just stove pipes some. With the Federals ever few shots. With Winchesters maybe a time or two in 50 rounds or so. Sometimes might not do that. I'm not that some of it isn't the aftermarket magazines. However, the Federals jam in the 10 round one too. I really like this gun though and like I said wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
