You can not go wrong with a Labrador. They are a very versatile breed and will hunt just about anything. They are superb on pheasants and if you decide you would like to expand your horizons and experience waterfowl hunting, you will have a dog that will go to the ends of the earth for you in a heartbeat! They are easy to train and also make good family dogs. Just make sure you get one from good breeding stock and make sure the hips are certified.
