I shot aluminums for the last 20+ years--except for the year bemans came out. They blew right through every deer I hit like nobody' s business. However, I went right back to aluminums primarily due to the cost. When I bought my new bow, I was being told of numerous advantages of carbons--like quicker recovery of the shaft, faster, doesn' t bend and stay that way--and I bought a dozen. They were about the same price as aluminums and have held up pretty well to some hits that would have bent aluminums.

I just picked up another 1/2 dozen 2 days ago.
