Tex I wouldnt be so harsh on the boys deer!

Your right he needs to " walk" but for a PA buck thats about as nice as it gets. The place is CRAWLIN with hunters and if that buck was filmed standing between houses as is the norm in that state he WONT live to see 4 1/2 (IMO he has to much musculature developement for 2.5). On my places in TN, MO and KS YEAH I' d let him walk, but if had never killed one like that with my bow, the only direction that buck would be goin is DOWN!!! I bet 9 of 10 guys in here would be TICKELED chitless to wack one like that. LOL, whens the last time you saw a " trophy zone" or an area with a reputation for BIGGUNS in PA? That state gets more gunfire than Iraq!
BuckMag, my only question is why do you keep filming them " in the dark" ? Spotlights in late summer will only keep a buck nocturnal when they shouldnt otherwise be. I know the temptation to see them and take great pictures is there, but MUCH better pics are made while he is lying on your tailgate in OCT! Let em rest and they might just hang around an area for the first couple of weeks before season. Find his staging area and then STAY OUT of the woods until season. If you want pics, look into nightvision equipment and even with that its really hard to get in and out of summertime fields full of deer without busting them.
If I " scout/watch" summer deer and they arent at least 1/4 mile away from me (1/2 being better) I wont bother going in that area. You are only gonna " educate" them anyway and by the time season opens chances are that they wont be doing the exact same thing anyway. Summertime should only be for letting you know what will be available that fall. Dont put stock in sightings/locations etc. Just look from afar and get prepared for the upcomin opener.
Good luck Mag,
