I shot aluminums for years then switched to carbons just to see for myself. I may shoot aluminums again but right now carbons offer a large advantage for me. Money-wise......I can shoot carbons longer because they don' t bend or break so easily, so I am actually saving money. As far as weight, many manufacturers now make carbons available heavier.

Whatever works for each individual is fine, just put the shot in the boiler, thats the main thing.
