I shoot side hammer percussion and run my own round balls and REALs at 50 cents a pound at the metal recyclers the round balls cost pennies and the REALs cost about a nickel/ each.
Beat that.
I think for folks that have the time and the skill, that is great, for the guy who is buying a $200 ML and a $100 scope and wants inexpensive bullet and powder to hunt 1 week extra per year, he will think that is too much trouble. Me I know the power of the large meplat flat bullet, I think your really on to something. Most guys are not gonna go this way, but pure folks that shoot a lot will consider this.
