You'll have a great time hunting spring gobblers in KS. Go to the KS wildlife and Parks website and download their "2009 Spring Turkey Hunting Atlas". This is a must for anyone trying to hunt public land in KS. TONS of free, walkin land, and if you wait untill the end of April to go,you'll rarely run into any other hunters.
If you see a flock of birds on private land, stop and ask permission. Unless someone else is hunting it right them,I've had real good luck getting access. Rarely ever get a flat out no! Best of luck to you......
