Big Buck, Here in SE Texas the rut usually peaks about the first week in November. This will vary a few days from year to year. Sometimes it peaks in late October. South Texas ruts are much later, around late November or early December. So I would think that Louisiana would be more like East Tex, late October to early November. In some years I have seen secondary ruts go into very late December. Check with your fish and game department, they will know for sure.
