I have been loading Nosler partitions for my .300RSAUM with no qualms at all, but for economical and financial reasons I am thinking of switching to sierra, probably the Pro-hunters for this round. How will these bullets hold up in that caliber? I want an economical bullet, yet if they won't perform and be accurate then Im not going to waste my money on them. I loaded some Game-Kings in my .260 rem last year and got good results, but not sure how they would do with the .300 short ultra mag. Also, is the only difference between the Game King and Pro Hunter the flat base of the Pro Hunter? thanks.
Sierra bullets are excellent, and I've found that most can be used interchangeably with the Nosler Partition of the same weight. You can do your load development with the Sierras and use the same weight Nosler Partition for hunting. Yes, you do need to confirm your zero when switching, but most of my loads have shownthe same POI with like-weight bullets and the same powder charge.
