I believe that,as you know, and I take it one step farther and say a carbon that weighs less CAN and potentially will out penetrate a heavier aluminum arrow.[8D]
If you are having troubles with broadheads,maybe the answer would be a slightly larger diameter carbon.I have heard some good things about the vmax from Blackhawk and they are heavy and the diameter of 21/64.
Now my arrow of choice for hunting is the Nitro Stinger and I think you would be hard pressed to find an arrow that carries a broadhead better but I don' t know how they would be at your length.They are also 21/64 at the point end.
