Just got in from awonderful morning on the Delayed Harvest Stream. Landed 19 trout lost 8. It is just beautiful outside!

where were you fishing.

i fish youngwomans creek delayed and crossfork creek near oile bull.

that crossfork creek is best, i love it there.

i take my dog along and he swims while i fish, then we eat lunch on tailgate.

i cut 2 trout today for about 3 hrs of fishing.

i was using a COACHMAN WET FLY.
Sproul,I was fishing Lloylhanna Creek,Westmoreland County. Man, I haven't fished Youngwomen's & Crossffork in a long time.

My buddies and I used to go up and stay at Oile Bull every Memorial weekend to fish the Green Drake hatch on Kettle & Crossfork.

Those Green Drakes coming off in the evening where so thick in the air,you needed your windsield wipers on to see while you drove near the streams.

Oh my God does this bring back memories. All the days I spent flyfishing Young Womans Creek, Kettle Creek, Cross Forks Creek, and Slate Run. I loved the early season hatches of Blue Quills and Hendricksons. And when there was no hatch, I loved to pick pockets on Young Womans with a small Adams dry fly. Fish after fish after fish.......

My cabin is 1 mile off Kettle Creek and I'll be there in April. By the way Sproul, how are the mountain top roads?
You said it outsider! Best hatches and best dry fly fishing in those streams period!Man do I miss those days.[&o]
