Believe me guys when I say this. I have almost got the wife convinced to move after she retires in 5 years, although I'm afraid that might not be soon enough. I gave 30 years to the state, have a hell of a nice pension but I'm getting tired of getting screwed. Even the town I live in just spent 12.8 Mil on a new middle school and the high school just did a new 8+ Mil addition, we're getting hammered. I'm thinking Westeren KY or TN around Knoxville. I have a friend that work for the TN Dept. of Transportation and he claims TN is always in good shape, at least better than most. I would like to stay around my Mid Western roots though.
