I am looking for a rod that i can use the on days where i just want to catch fish at the small stream by my house (panfish and smaller smallies....biggest being 12 inches), and for trout (size ranging from a few ounces to a few pounds). My main question is what is the difference between the St Croix Premier and the Triumph series of rods besides one being made in the USA? If you had to get one which would it be? The Premier 4'6 UL or the Triumph 5' UL?

I am also torn between setting them up with a Shimano Sedona 500FD or a Pflueger President.
