Kahles is VERY GOOD. In their NA line-up, the KX is the "bottom line". It's a 1" tube with 2nd focal plane reticle. They have others (30 mm, illuminated, etched reticles, SF and 1st focal plane units) represented by CL, CSX and CS designations. I consider a 3-9 X 42 about the perfect scope for the vast majority of hunting applications. Good luck with your selection.
