Mark, if you've read all the posts then you know, it's not the volts but the amp draw that eats you up with the HPS's especially at start up. Unless you are willing to spend big bucks for the the nicer ones with the built in capacitors and proper ballast you really need to install inline capacitors to reduce the draw on your genny. The econolights are a prime example.Rab makes some beautiful 150's butLordy they are going to set you back> 7 bills for 6 of them if you can find a decent price.The HD's almost seemed too good to be true,as even though they aren't advertised as having the capacitors built in, supposedly they didfor a while but now not sure and they're on backorder forever or discontinued.
