Why no Sunday hunting in NC? Its one of those Southern "blue laws", a law whose reasons are somewhat obscure.Most of the opposition to lifting the ban is religious in nature. The following link does a pretty good job at listing the "current" reasons to keep it in place:

Regardless of what side of the fence one stands, the reasons for or against Sunday hunting follow the same basic thought processes. Would I hunt on Sundays if allowed? Yes . . . unless there is a NASCAR race that afternoon
