Default RE: Speed balls

Well I have done a little research on the speed ball thing. Jeff, you are correct once again. I was wondering about them when I replaced the string on my 08 allegiance. So after some research I found that they can be just plain ole brass nocks. I saw something under some heat shrink on my old string and decided to check it out. It was infact brass nocks, two on each end for the Ally. I first shot through my chrono without them. Then I measured where they were on the old string. Next I carefully removed them and reinstalled them on my new string, applied some heat shrink, and shot through my chrono again. I increased my speed by four FPS.

I just got a 101st and noticed that it has three on each end of the string. When I replace the string, I will make sure to replace them in the same location. Hey, every bit helps!
