RE: Ziess Conquest
The field of view is relative. There are times when I wish I had a larger FOV but, more times than not I want the higher magnification. While there is a 10” difference between the Conquest 3.5X and 4.5X. The 4.5X Conquest has a larger FOV than most other 4X or 4.5X and about in the middle of these and their 3.5X. The Leupold line would be a good example. If a large FOV is the most important aspect then most 2-7’s would be a better choice and if you want to spend some coin, Swarovski has a 1.7-10 that has 75 ft at 100 yds.
I guess that’s why there’s more than one scope on the market.
