Using both in lower light I can say that the 4.5X14 is clearer in low light than the 3.5X10.
Magnification and clarity are two entirely different characteristics of optics.If one scope has better clarity than another scope,it either has better quality lenses,or it is focused better for your eyes.If both scopes are Conquests,the quality of the lenses should be equivalent,unless one scope has sub standard lenses for some reason.
