I've got four Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg-Its, and all of them have a .29 green top pin followed by alternating yellow and green .19 pins... For me, the .19s are plenty adequate to see yet don't cover up too much of my target at 30, 40 and 50 yards... The .29 is awesome for when the target (deer, usually...) is within 20 yards and much larger-looking.
I get the added benefit that at VERY last light, that big .29 green pin is the last thing visible...
Thats the heat right there. Note to self. I think I might like a .039, then a .029, then .029 and .019s from there. If I was going with a 7 pin... I'd put .010s at the bottom.... I'm not sure.. why.... but I'd feel obligated to have the whole spread.... who wouldn't?
Speaking of Spott-Hogg... I was thinking about getting a hooter shooter to play around with.... if you want some sticker shock.... ask how much they run... I don't make that much in two months.
