Food plots do not need to be expensive. Use what equipment you have available, plant to your soil, and buy seed from your local ag supply store. If you enjoy working the land and growing plants, it will be worth your while. If you want something easy, don't want to work/research it, and expect a 150 class buck to be in it opening day; you will be disappointed. For me, growing a good quality plot that wildlife enjoy is as much fun as harvesting the animal I planted and worked it for (which I have yet to do over a food plot).
