dvdegeorge it sounds like you have a scratch or a rough spot in your chamber . Has anyone worked on the gun ,or had to extract a broken case at some time . I have seen guns that were damaged by people that extracted thier broken case with a screwdriver . Thats what it sounds like .
Quilly the Remington classics are only made in one caliber a year and that year is the only year that caliber is made ,each year it is a different caliber .The 35 Whelen was made in 1988 .
