I bought a 710 in 270 last year. It may be uglier than the north end of a south bound mule, but I love it! It' s light, shoots good, and I don' t care if it gets beat up in the boonies. The first day out with it, I put several rounds through it and a ruger using Remington Express 150gr coreloks. The Ruger kicked harder, even though it was heavier. I' m perfectly happy with my 710.
