Default RE: ? about buying a gun at a gunshow.

ORIGINAL: J The Deer Slayer

All the gun shows I've been to had guns for sale that you could buy cheaper from actual dealer. I wont say if you find a deal too good to be true it probably is too good to be true... But, there is always a chance it's stolen or something like that. If I was in the situation, I'd try to get it checked before I bought it. If it's not stolen why would the guy selling the gun really care?

Just my 2 cents.
Not talking about at the tables and stuff as that's basically my experience too. I'm talking about the guys standing at the door or the ones walking around selling their personal guns.

I don't know if they would mind but it seems like they just walk around telling as many people as possible until someone buys it. Or walks around with a sign on it. So I'm not sure how many people would want to stand there and wait while you call the police department to verify it while they could be telling others about it. Especially since I've heard some people say it's taken days for the police department to get back to you. I highly doubt someone is going to wait days or even a day for you to decide if you want it based on weather it's stolen or not when they could sell it right there to someone else.
