If speed is
the most important thing to you, you can achieve super speeds by shooting an ultra light, under sized arrow. I' ve seen some folks scratch that 400 fps. Course I' m not one of those people. I only shoot a comfortable 55 pounds and my
carbon arrow weights 490 grains. I' m shooting at 230 fps right now. But as I stated earlier, if I wanted I could crank my bow up another 7 pounds or so, (my Legacy tops out at about 63#), go down in arrow size and dramatically increase my speed.
My point is, shoot a reasonable arrow at a reasonable speed and
hit the sweet spot!
