I agree that the price of a call doesn't necessarily reflect the quality of the sound. The trouble for me is I haven't found any $3.00 calls that sound good for me. Unless it sounds good to me and I have confidence in that call I simply can't use it. That's just me.

For the past few years I've been getting my diaphrams from Jim Montanaro (Empire Game Calls in Liverpool, NY) and they are pretty reasonable, but not $3.00 per call. I prefer 3 and4 reed calls and these tend to be more expensive.

Where can one get 3 or 4 reed cut diaphrams (V-cut, Batwing cut or ghost cut), stretched lower reeds, smooth yelps, light rasp, ability to whine and Kee Kee) for $3.00? If I could find some I would be all over it.
