Personally, I love my pump Remington model 760, but you could think the total opposite of me. I like pump actions because they are less expensive than a semi-auto, and you can cycle through the shells quickly IF YOU HAVE TO. I am not the kind of hunter that blasts away at anything that moves and empties the gun at every deer they shoot at. But, if you would happen to hit a deer in a less than perfect spot, and need a quick follow up shot, the pump allows you to quickly load another shell into the chamber. If you are concerned with long range accuracy, I would go with a bolt action. However, for anything within 300 yards, I don't think you will find much difference in accuracy between the various actions. As everybody on here has been saying so far, it all comes down to personal preference.
