Default RE: Shot some very good groups

ORIGINAL: BIG.PAUL

I bought a t/c mold for maxi-balls that was supposed yo a 370g but all the bullets come out 365g or less. So I took a file to the back of bullet and filed them down to 362g and the results were great. I was putting bullets through bullet holes at 50 and 100 yards. Not bad for a 1 in 28 twist that was made to shoot sabots. My load was 90g pyro premium, 362g maxi, with a button patch on the back of it with T777 primers. I shot 40 rounds on Sat. at several different targets and had bullets grouping ataround an inch all day.
I don't know where they got their name, but th Maxi-balls are a bore sized conical, not a ball.

That is excellent shooting Big.Paul, if your hitting 1" groups at 100 with a Triumph, I would say you are really ready for Moose, Elk and big boned heavy whitetail. Pure lead should expand well.
