My support of AR's is less about trophy hunting than it is about a belief in the QDM concept of a healthier, older age class, more natural herd.
The older age structure has produced lower breeding rates , lower productivity and no improvement in the breeding ecology . What you posted is simply QDMA propaganda to justify having a higher percentage of older buck with larger racks. The large buck being harvested today are the result of the genetics that developed from harvesting 80% of our 1.5 buck for at least the last 50 years.
